Find the Right Time to Write
Finding the right time to write is crucial to successful writing. Long days and busy schedules can really make this a challenge. Balancing the demands of a job, school, and family can make you too pooped to pop by the end of the day. So, in order to maximize productivity during your writing sessions, you must identify the time when you are most alert and most uninterrupted. This may require you to reorganize some of your daily responsibilities.

Examine your schedule closely. Do you have a couple of hours in the afternoon where the kids are with the babysitter? Are you able to rearrange your workload to avoid taking work home? Are you able cook ahead of time in order to prevent long meal preparation in the evenings? Can the kids go to bed 30 minutes to an hour earlier? Can you wake up an hour earlier in the morning? These are the types of questions you will have to ask yourself in order to carve out time for writing.
When there is a will to write, you will find the time to write.
So, get ready, set, and write!
Yours in writing,
Dr. Cager
